Nika Holúsková was born in Czech Rep. in the mid - 90's in Karlsbad and started the artistic journey at a very young age. After graduating from high school, she moved to Prague and studied illustration. As a young progressive tattoo artist, Nika builds on her rich experience as a draughtswoman. Her paintings include themes teetering, mysterious and surreal by reflecting the darker parts of human life - the horror or destruction - with bravura skill. ⠀
She has developed a significant style to bravely move from the figurative to the abstract and combine them. A frequent motif in her work is a stiff female figure reminiscent of a sacred Madonna - a watching protector who gradually dissolves into abstract lines. The conceptual part of her work often resembles a drawing in ink or even charcoal. It is typical in its rawness. ⠀
Her tattoo art is a graphic reflection of her paintings and the most emotional touch on the body. By connecting lines and structures, she creates emotions, feelings, vibes and the future. The line is the beginning of everything.⠀
