dani bastos
Brazilian born artist Dani Bastos developed her artistic language since she was young, self-taught from her maternal family, inspired by different female designers and the surrealism of artists like Salvador Dalí.
In 2014 she embraced tattooing as her profession and began to transfer her artworks from paper to skin with free strokes, hachures, imperfections and colour interventions. Based on these characteristics, she created her artistic voice. Her designs are rich in details, and the sketchy, expressionistic style of drawing and tattooing give their motifs a life of their own.
The result of each work comes from the will to grow, and Dani keeps reflecting on the coexistence with the masters she got to know along the way.
